Right after class this morning we
came home, dropped off our stuff, and picked up our bocadillos Blanca made for
us and we headed into Madrid. We went to the Palacio because they have the
changing of the guard once a month, and today happened to be the first
Wednesday of the month. We saw the
guards in formation inside the palace courtyard area, then they had a parade
type thing with all the horses and a carriage and stuff so that was fun to see.
After that Taylor and I walked around and shopped around a little bit. In one
of the souvenir shops I made friend with the salesman ha he is from Venezuela
and is named Peter ha. So that was good we got to practice some of our Spanish.
After that we walked by a demonstration going on in Puerto Del Sol so that was
kinda interesting, lots of policemen everywhere. After that we went to the
Theatre to see if the other people ended up getting the last minute tickets for
the Opera and they did! So I was excited for them, they are going to see The Perfect American too. On our way
home Taylor and I made another friend haha his name was Geonni Yani. Try saying
that 5 times fast. Overall it was a really great day.
