Today was such a great day! I feel
like everyday is a great day here ha because it always is:] This morning we
went into Madrid because it is Chinese New Year, but ended up going to Plaza
Mayor and seeing all the little tables of old men selling their coins for coin
collectors and tons of people selling stamps. There was a bunch of other random
stuff people were selling which was fun to see. There were a ton of people
around the Plaza and walking around I really liked seeing everyone out and
about. After that we went to the Rastro Flea Market that they have every
weekend. It was huge and so crowded. It was a super fun environment to be in.
After that we went to the Stake Center by the Temple for church. Our ward was
having Stake Conference so we decided to go to a normal family ward instead. I
loved it! All of the people were so welcoming and nice. Tons of people came up
and talked to us and welcomed us. Two ladies gave us their names and numbers so
we can call them to have dinner with them. One lady wants to set us up with her
son in Peru and it was just so fun. I loved that ward they were all so kind and
I felt so welcome I loved it. Sometimes Spaniards can be hard to approach or
kind of intimidating, but once you break that barrier, even just by saying
hello they are the nicest people. They are so smiley and love the besos (the
cheek kisses) haha and they are just so sweet and selfless I love them. I love
this place.
