Today we had our long day of
classes as they say here, but it is still shorter than a normal day at BYU ha.
So that went well, Blanca went to her Aunt’s funeral so she left us some food
for lunch. She made her delicious peas so it was great:] Then Taylor and I met
with some other girls in our group to go do a walk in Madrid. It was fun; we
got to see the oldest building in Madrid, and the oldest running restaurant as
well! So that was pretty cool. After that we went to the Prado Museum for a few
hours. It was huge! I was overwhelmed with how many works of art were in there
and how it just kept going on forever in every direction. All of the works
there are amazing. We saw some of the famous ones like March 3rd and
Las Meninas so that was neat to see. We just kinda perused through the whole
place, in reality just parts of it since it’s so big ha but it was fun! I like
art museums they are fun to go through and see, and appreciate other people’s
talents that I definitely don’t have ha. I thought it was interesting that
every night from 6-8 they have the museum open to the public for free! I
thought that was a good idea. When we got home Blanca had a friend over, of
course, and they had a little dog! She was so cute! So we played with the
little dog I loved it! I miss having dogs around. There are a lot of people
that walk their dogs around the streets but not much interaction with them so
that was fun:]
