Today we had to go back to classes
so that was kind of a bummer. Classes were good though; we just had our Spanish
classes today. After class on the way home Taylor and I stopped at a bookstore
in Alcala and looked through all the Spanish books. It was funny seeing ones
like Twilight and Harry Potter, which was definitely tempting. I think the
children’s books were the best though, they were all so cute! For our big lunch
we had steak with this stuff I forget what it’s called, but it has fried
potatoes and peppers and a tomato sauce type thing, I had it at the BYU English
Center at this culture thing one time so that was kinda cool! Then I had a
little siesta, which was way nice, I think the US should start implementing
something like that. After that Taylor and I went for a jog around the park
near us and that was nice, it’s pretty.
Then we met some of the rest of our group for tapas, which are what Spaniards
sometimes eat instead of dinner, or as a snack to hold them over until dinner
which isn’t until around 9pm. So we went to this little tapas place and it was
way good! I got some peach juice with a lobster salad thing and it ended up
being really good! And only cost 2.75 Euros! It was a lot of fun and was so
good. Then we met the rest of the group at the train station and we went into
Madrid for Family Home Evening with the Young Single Adults in Madrid. It was
fun! We basically tripled their attendance hah but it was good, we had a
spiritual thought and then we hung out and played games for a while so that was
good. When we got home Blanca treated me to a cup of yogurt so that was way
yummy:] Blanca is the best seriously, she has been so great. Taylor and I love
her!
