Today I was put in the right
Spanish class! So it was a definitely more difficult but I enjoyed it more.
Then I had my Sociology class, which was way cool! Way long too ha it was 2 and
a half hours. But it really didn’t seem that bad. It was kinda cool because
there were only 6 of us in the class so that was nice, but also means I will
have to actually talk in class which is kind of terrible haha. That evening we
met everyone at the train station to head into Madrid for the Real soccer
game!! I have never been the biggest fan of soccer of Fifa or anything, but
when we ended up in Madrid by the stadium with all the people bustling around
before the game I got way excited and became a Madrid fan haha. We got a little
lost on the Metros finding Madrid, but thankfully the Knapp’s were with us and
Stan was able to get us there ok. We all ended up getting tickets all together
so that was awesome! I got a Real Madrid Scarf before the game, and when we
were buying it we met a guy from Venezuela and I talked to him about how I was
just by Aruba and Ciracou and he said Venezuela sucks except for the beach and
Ciracou is the best haha I agree. Our seats were higher up because they were
cheaper, but I thought they were perfect! We all had a railing in front of us
we could lean on and we were all together and we were right under the heaters
and we were right by the Valencia fans that were crazy! So it was a ton of fun!
We won too! I saw all the goals which also was impressive and it was a ton of
fun to be at the huge stadium and be by the crazy fans and all together it was
so fun! I loved it. Finding our way home was an adventure too. We were going to
take a different Metro back and ended up getting a little lost, so much in the
fact that the last bus heading back to Alcala was leaving in 10 minutes from
the train station and we weren’t at the train station…so we were running in the
Metro stations and it was kind of stressful trying to figure it all out but it
was fun too! I was so glad we were all together and that the Knapps were with
us. We of course made it home because we are being so watched over here and we
ended up at home all safe and sound. It was quite the night!
