First day of classes! I kinda liked the idea of being here with friends and seeing all the cool things here ha but I guess school is kind of important too:] I got put into the beginning Spanish class though because I think I did way bad on my pre/placement exam we took last week. So basically class was way easy and I said my name and where I’m from ha but I talked to my Director Brother Knapp and he is going to come help put me in the right class starting tomorrow, because I am enrolled in 205 so I hope that all works out. After class Taylor and I went for a little jog in the park by Blanca’s house so that was nice! Then we came home to paella!! And it was soo good. I was full all night from it! It was like the paella Kelly made at Grandma’s house. Except Blanca also put in clams with her chicken and shrimp and everything. It was so good! I have heard so much about the Spanish Paella and it was just as good as everyone said it was. After that I had another nice little siesta. I really like this siesta thing it’s awesome haha. Then we rode the bus to the church and had our religion class with Fausto Lopez, an Area Seventy. It was so amazing. He was so awesome and I could feel the Spirit so strongly. He was an amazing man, his one little class strengthened my testimony so much just hearing him talk and teach helped me with my testimony and knowing how amazing and how true our church is. He talked about how important we are and how we need to recognize the hand of God in our lives each day and how we have so much to live for and to be grateful. He also stressed the importance of journals for us as well as our descendants and other people. After our night class our FHE group went to the Knapps and we talked for a while, then had a great Spiritual thought by a girl named Tatiana. Then we played a way fun game called four men on a couch, or the couch game. That was a lot of fun, and then we just had some ice cream treats. After the religion class we had tonight I have been thinking about how blessed I am to be here. I am with such a great roommate, Taylor is so awesome I love her, we live with the best host Mom ever; Blanca should win a prize or something seriously she is so great. We have awesome directors that make me feel so welcome in their home, and they are so down to earth and fun to be around. Our group is awesome everyone is so fun and have such great personalities. And Alcala is such a nice area it’s great, I feel safe and we are in a great location and it’s so fun and I am just so glad I am here!
