1/18/13

Today we met the group and went into Madrid together. We walked around the gardens at the Royal Palace and they were absolutely beautiful! It has been one of my favorite things so far! And we were able to eat lunch there too it was so fun! Then we walked around the Palace and were able to go in and get an audio tour. It was so cool! I loved it. It was so big and grand and ornate and I loved the history and the art and the decoration and everything! I think Mom would have loved to see all the dishes and China they had up for display and I think Emma would like all the decorations they were way cool. I think the boys and Dad would really like the Armory it was way cool actually, it showed tons of suits of armor and armor for the horses and shields and weapons and everything! And I think Dad would have liked the Pharmacy too. It was huge! And really interesting too! I tried taking pictures and the lady yelled at me haha. We spent three hours in there! It didn’t seem that long though. But ah it made me want to be a princess and live there! Haha after that a few of us went back to Puerta del Sol and got some churros and chocolate, which is very Spanish. The chocolate is very thick; it is considered good chocolate if the churro can stand straight up! So most of the other students like drinking the leftover chocolate when they are done dipping their churros haha. After that we rode the train home and went over to the Knapp’s house for pizza with everyone. We just got pizza from Dominoes and we tried the Barbacoa one and it was so good! It was BBQ pizza with corn on it too! So that was way good! Then we all watched some Brian Regan and then some went home and the rest of us hung around and played 4 Men on a couch because Landon, the Directors’ son loved that game when we played it at FHE this week so we played it again haha it was a lot of fun. I love the Knapps they are so awesome. Today was a great day and I really loved all of it!
