Today there was a little
confusion/stress/craziness because of my debit card. After I had to take a
Spanish test I went to an ATM to pull some money out for Spain. However, of
course my card didn’t work. This isn’t the first that it hasn’t worked, but I
was leaving for Paris in just a couple days. I went to another girls’ apartment
in our group to use their wifi, since mine doesn’t work on my phone or my
computer at Blanca’s house ha, and I luckily got ahold of Mom. We were figuring
out how I could have her transfer money from my account into someone else’s
account that’s here and talking to the bank and information and just lots of
crazy stuff. Mom is so great and figured that out, as I had to go to lunch and
then class. As we were waiting at the bus stop to catch a bus to the church for
our class, we saw another ATM and Taylor got some money out of it first to make
sure that it actually worked. As she was making her transaction the bus pulled
up so she cancelled it and we ran out but barely missed it. Then I tried this ancient
looking ATM and it worked! Seriously one of the biggest reliefs I have
experienced. Then two other girls from our program came to the bus stop so we
were getting on the bus with them and it was Steffany and I getting on but she
couldn’t find her Abono bus pass and we asked the driver if she could get on
she just forgot it and stuff but he said no she would have to go get it. So I
stayed with her and we went and found her pass and I was able to let Mom know
that I got everything figured out so that was a blessing in disguise missing
the bus so I could let Mom know so she wouldn’t have to stress anymore. Then I
finally caught the bus to religion class. Third time’s a charm right? After
class, which was awesome like always, we went and got porras for FHE, and they
are just way big churros basically. And they were soo good. Definitely a great
end to a crazy day.
